Family

My sessions are fun even your husband will enjoy having family photos taken…I can guarantee that. One of the typical responses I get from the husband is:

“We had so much fun and it was FAST…Thank you for capturing our family”

From the small to large family I have you covered. Most of my family shoots are on location. However, I do have a small studio for new families and bubs -up to five people max.

Regular sessions will last about an hour at a location of your choosing. Depending on location your session time will be 2 hours before sunset unless requested another time.

Mini sessions are booked back to back to utilize as much light as possible and as close to the sunset hour as possible -the best light! Be 5 minutes early. I will do my very best to get all that I can in the 30-minute time frame, depending on how much the kids love it ;)

Please avoid clothes with printed brands or busy patterns, as these will take focus away from you and your family. 

I will also discuss styling with you and help you decide on a location.

STYLING

Before your session I will send you via email or messenger information detailing how to best prepare for your shoot.

My style is very relaxed and even though I will make sure to give posing instruction I will also ensure that photos look natural and unforced.

For a family session its best to wear outfits that compliment each other. Bold colours or creamy tones are fantastic. I strongly recommend not dressing everyone in the same colours but rather in a complimenting colour scheme. Bring accessories along too the shoot as well. If your child has a favourite teddy or something else that’s special to you and your family, please bring it along to your session.

Just remember to come to have fun throw your worries out the door...like, do I look good (I'll adjust if it doesn't look good), fixing your hair all the time...also let the kids be, I can work with them and play with them, they will love it.

HOW CAN I BE PREPARED?

Consider wearing comfortable clothing and dress for the right weather. No one, especially children, will be happy in their photos if they are hot, cold, itchy, etc. Bring your childs favorite blanket, stuffed animal, toys, or books for when we take breaks or need something to stay focused. Snacks are also a great thing to bring but make sure they are mess-free and do not turn mouths a funky color. Cheerios are great and so are smarties!

WHEN TO EXPECT MY PHOTOS?

Two to Four weeks. If you need them quicker there is a rush fee of $50.
